In 1997 and after Mirror Over Kiev had completed their final tour in Italy, the first incarnation of Mirrortown - Nick Jackson, Dave Alexander and Tim A. Duncan - set about working on new material and sounds for a new album. Soon after commencing the recordings, Tim began work on the first of 3 commissions to date for Tony Mercer, and Mirrortown became the vehicle for the music and sounds that have became a signature of Mercer's Ice Dance productions.

Early versions of several tracks used on Tim' s albums Peter Pan, Phantom and Barnum are in evidence on the record as well as songs by Nick Jackson later used on his solo albums - Miracles and Secrets.

Highlights are most definitely Dave Alexander's rhythm contributions and melodic and trademark 'chordal' bass lines by Tim.
